The Welsh Weekend 2008.
For new members and people who don’t already know, WYAMS run an annual weekend trip to Wales in September.
The date for this year’s trip will be the 19th to the 21st of September 2008
I have found a new venue for this year’s trip, as we will not be using the park Motel as before, due to the poor service that we experienced last year.
The Dolbrodmaeth Riverside Hotel, Dinas Mawddwy is near Dolgellau which is further North West than the area where we have stayed in the past, but this gives us the opportunity to explore a different part of Wales.
The hotel is owned and run by a biker; it offers 11- twin and double rooms, a family room and 2- Large static caravans. It offers restaurant and bar meals at reasonable prices, bar and TV lounge. There is off road safe parking for the bikes. This area is great area for enjoying the quiet open roads and the spectacular scenery, also in the past we have had some really good weather at this time of year.
Prices are as follows:-
Caravans: - 4 people sharing £27.50 each, bed and full breakfast.
Double and twin rooms: - £41.00 per person/per night, Bed and full breakfast.
Family Room: - 3 people sharing £27.50 each, bed and full breakfast.
I have booked 3- double rooms for us, 5- other room are already booked by other people which only leaves the 2- caravans and 3- twin rooms.
The best value is the caravans; if 4 people share it’s quite cheap including full breakfast. This is a really good opportunity for some excellent riding, sight seeing and socialising with other like minded people. Please let me know as soon as possible as the remaining rooms will soon be booked up.
We will meet at 8.45am Friday full tanks and empty bladders for a 9.00 departure at the Sovereign BP petrol station on the A629 out of Huddersfield where it crosses the A635 Denby Dale road. Any one wishing to travel down on the Friday evening can do so.
