One Day Motorcycle Emergency Aid Courses

Saturday 2nd February - Leeds metropolitan University, Headingley Campus

Saturday 19th April - Leeds Metropolitan University, Headingley Campus

Courses run from 09:00 – 16:00

(Courses provided by Leeds Metropolitan University in conjunction with Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police)

Course aims:

A basic course designed for motorcycle riders and passengers who wish to acquire life support and first aid techniques, or as a refresher course to update knowledge and skills.

The course will :

- Address the type of accidents and injuries that may be sustained by bikers.
- Give practical information on ‘incident management’ and ‘protecting the scene’
- Provide current information on crash helmet removal and offer delegates the   opportunity to practise techniques.

Certificate :

A Motorcycle Emergency Aid Certificate (valid for three years) will be awarded to all those who complete the practical assessments during the day.

Bikers attending the course may wish to come dressed in, or bring along, any ‘gear’ which they use for riding (including helmets).
